Do I need anything special to have a medical pendant installed?
|
|
To have the Home Healthcare Alarm installed all you need is a Phone Point and a Power Point near each other. The Healthcare Alarm will sit on a bench near these points.

Will the Home Healthcare Alarm stop my phone(s) from working?
|
|
No, the Home Healthcare Alarm connects with the other phone(s) in the house. If the Medical Pendant is pressed, the Home Healthcare Alarm will only use the phone line temporarily to contact Patient Connects Medical response team. Once the medical response call is completed all the phones will go back to normal.

What happens if there is a power failure?

The Home Healthcare Alarm has a built in back-up battery that keep the device active up to 40 hours until the power turns back on.

Can I wear my pendant in the shower?
|
|
Yes. The medical pendants can be worn in the shower and we strongly recommend that you don't remove your pendant, especially in the bathroom or shower.

How far away will you hear me?
|
|
The Home Healthcare Alarm has a powerful microphone and speaker and will be installed somewhere central in the home. Patient Connect is happy to offer free, no obligation in home demonstrations to show how easily the device can be heard anywhere in the house.

What happens if I use the devise outside?
|
|
Even when you are outside, the medical pendant will still have a range of 50 meters. However the devise is designed for inside use. If you need to use the device outside, even though you may not be able to hear the speaker, the medical pendant will alert our response team that you need assistance, and help will be sent even if they cannot hear or speak with you.

How can I be sure my device is still working?
|
|
We ask everyone to do test call every month for peace of mind. You are free to make this call at any time and it does not cost additional money to test.

What happens if I press my pendant accidentally?
|
|
